What is A+? A+ Certification is a testing program sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) that certifies the competency of service technicians in the computer industry. The program is backed by over 50 major computer hardware and software manufacturers, vendors, distributors, resellers. and publications.

The A+ Certification Examination is rapidly increasing in popularity. The number of people taking the exam has increased in the past year from just over 20,000 to nearly 40,000 (projected end of 1997).
