Octavo (24cm); [vi], 243pp. Marbled paper-covered boards with ivory leather spine and gilt lettering, green topstain, and clear vinyl jacket. Boards are sturdy and square with no significant signs of shelfwear; leather perhaps a touch brighter down spine than over boards; topstain uniformly faded an inch in from spine; pages toning along edges but unmarked. Binding is sound. Mid-series novel featuring Gash's Lovejoy character, on whom was based the eponymous BBC series (1986-1994) starring Ian McShane.

It has five raised bands, horizontal gilt titles and is also signed by H R F Keating, author of the Appreciation. The book has been in stock since it was produced in 1991. Sold as new.
