Beck's Futures 2003 Unknown - 2003

London: ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) in collaboration , 2003. Loose leaves in box. Fine/(Box) very good. Folio (43cm x 31cm). in the Neville Brody design, of a printed card box, which contains an artwork by each of the nine finalists for the 2003 Beck's Futures prize, printed on a folded sheet which measures 42cm x 59cm unfolded. The sheet has a small printed card stapled to the centre fold, with details of the artist and the work pictured. Shortlisted artists were Carey Young, Nick Crowe, David Sherry, Francis Upritchard, Lucy Skaer, the collective Inventory, Rosalind Nashashibi and Bernd Behr. Each sheet is in fine condition. With an unsealed envelope containing two stapled booklets, the first an interview with J G Ballard by Hans Ulrich Obrist, the other, an essay by art critic Michael Archer. All of the contents are in fine, as new condition. Box with light wear, nick to upper left hand tip, some minor spotting.
