In 2009, for the first time in their history, the Royal Library of Belgium and the National Library of France brought together their collections to offer the broadest public a panorama of Flemish miniatures in an international exhibition. The first part was held in Brussels, the second in Paris. The richness of their respective collections and the mutual exchange of pieces allowed for the presentation of different, yet all exceptional, manuscripts in both capitals. A joint scientific catalog and a shared virtual exhibition accompanied the event.
