Ralf Mohr has created a delightful portrait study of numerous young women whom, as the title implies, are at varying stages of pregnancy. His photography is impeccable, his lighting techniques extraordinary, but it is his hidden rapport with his models that is most striking. They are all amazingly comfortable before his camera. Their is no sense whatsoever of any uncertainty or timidity, nor is there any inflated sense if self-importance either. They just open up to him revealing their opulent and curvaceous forms as well as their true selves. There is a lot of feeling in this body of work and almost without exception every image is an exquisite portrait of pure feminine beauty.
