Acerca del autor
Diana Gabaldon naci en Arizona, en cuya universidad se licenci en Biologa Marina, doctorndose posteriormente en Zoologa. Su trabajo como profesora de temas ecolgicos le permiti tener a su alcance una vasta biblioteca, donde descubri su aficin por la literatura. Tras varios aos escribiendo artculos de su profesin y cuentos humorsticos para Walt Disney, Diana comenz a publicar en Internet los captulos iniciales de su primera novela, Forastera. En poco tiempo, el libro se convirti en un gran xito de ventas. Este xito no hizo ms que aumentar con los siguientes ttulos de la saga.
