Interviews of him in later years tell the story of a young man who was an expert marksman and fought alone and cunninly to help protect his homeland against the Red Army. For sniping Simo Hayha used his own m/28-30 rifle the whole time. Simo was wounded on March 6 1940. This book is a captivating story of his life with photos, awards, medals, and maps.The book is written by Tapio Saarelainen, who is a career officer in the Finnish Army. He spent two decades training snipers and interviewed Simo many times during 1997 - 2002, investigating Simo's life and accomplishments.
