Sobre este artículo
Self Published. Near Fine. N.D.. First Edition. Softcover. White comb binding. Clear plastic cover over photograph front and back. This untitled book contains the genealogy of the Pease Family who lived (live) in the central valley area of California. The first entry is Egbert Sabin, (b. 1820 d.?) buried in Modesto, CA. Egbert married Elizabeth (1827-1926, surname unknown) in Duches County, NY. The genealogy continues with the marriage of their daughter Lettie (Lattie? Two spellings given) who married Edwin Rutherford Pease (Ed). Lettie and Ed lived in norther CA around the Stockton / Lodi area, they had two sons, Donald who died at 6 mo. and Roy. Roy married Evangeline (Eva) Carpenter and they had 5 children. The book continues following the genealogy of Ed and Eva to whom the book is dedicated. The cover has two different black and white photographs (of Eva as a young girl with her dog?) on both the front and back covers. The front clear-cover's corner is bent. 135 pages including many blank pages for additional genealogy information and recipes. Many of the recipes have the contributors name, including Grandma Pease (Eva Carpenter Pease) Marryanna Burr, Barbara and Roy Pease, Luanna Lee and many others found in the family tree. The "Raw Fish" recipe found on page 115 (Luanna Lee) is actually Ceviche. Uncommon at the time in general cuisine of America and quite unusuall to be found in a family cookbook of 1985. "Latin American flavors first found a place on Florida menus with South Floridas New World Cuisine in the late 1980s. " whatscookingamerica.net. ; 8vo .
