Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Frontispiece is very loose. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Book has a notable backward lean and subtle bow. Light tanning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has heavy surface wear, with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing to spine ends, edges and corners. Moderately tanned, with liquid staining to rear corner and spine.
