Endpapers and page edges are lightly tanned and foxed. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges.

New York: Thomas Nelson Book. Near Fine. Black Leather. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. 728 pages, what a beautiful copy even if volume 2 of this complete in 2 volumes issue. The black leather is starkingly black (not the faded "green" of other offerings going for hundreds of dollars! This is a beautiful copy but there is a subtle dent on the cover, no chance of perceiving this with a photograph, tho. Of the four corners, one is slightly worn. Hard to find a copy like this in all of the offerings of Nelson New Century Library. There is also a four page ephemera listings of this library. If you have a copy of volume 1 in comparable condition; this would be a very nice set. Gilt edged all around, with fresh gilt lettering on excellent conditioned leather..

Thomas Nelson. Novelty. Very Good. Nine volumes 12mo (16cm X 11cm), soft black leather with gilt spine titles and fleur de lis, marbled endsheets, ribbon page markers bound in, frontispieces with tissue guards, printed on Japan paper. No date, circa 1905. Light to moderate rubbing at the corners and spine ends, the spines of Vol I of Monte Cristo and Man in the Iron Mask are more heavily rubbed. Overall a rather attractive set.
