First edition of this memoir by this noted African-American who served as assistant and butler to Theodore Roosevelt and his family during his time in office. Amos (1879-1953), accompanied Roosevelt on his later hunting expeditions nursed him back to health after being shot, and would later become the second African-American FBI agent in 1921.
