There is a crack at the gutter on the front end page and pages are mildly toned. The boards are in good minus condition with edge wear and spine darkening. The binding is tight and square.

Lacks the dust jacket. Title page printed in red and black, includes both errata slips. Illustrated by a frontispiece of Andrews, a few maps (including one of Mongolia in the rear), and several plates. Plates are black and white photographs of Roy Chapman Andrews' expedition to the Asian Steppe and the Gobi Desert. The photographs depict Andrews' crew members, the fossils he discovered, sketches of how zoologists thought dinosaurs and ancient mammals looked, animals used in the expedition, and other aspects of Andrews' adventures.
