In overall very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read; no annotation or inscriptions - owners name to front pastedown dated 1910; toning to page-ends and a few spots of foxing to prelims but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book.

Red buckram boards with gilt titles to spine and bline tooled titles and Town crest to front board. Boards and internally clean throughout. Both a history and a guide to the town of Shrewsbury. Originally published in 1905, this edition has been fully revised by the Author's daughter, Henrietta Auden. Profusely illustrated with 15 full page drawings and numerous smaller sketches to the text.
