Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Lovely old custom bookplate on front pastedown. Interior water stain along hinges of endpapers, a few page edges. Two-page frontispiece illustration of three men examining a great long map rolled out on the floor. 332 pages. A novel about the laying out of early railroad lines..

You are on the hardcover only stated Harper Edition from April 1909 (gasp!). Other than the cover needs to be glued to the spine (not intact), both the cover and the book are in very good condition---there are no rips, tears, markings, etc---and the pages and binding are tight (see photo). **Note: All books listed as FIRST EDITIONS are stated by the publisher in words or number lines--or--only stated editions that include only the publisher and publication date.
