Covers quite rubbed with additional wear and fraying to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, sound text block, smudges to margins of a few pages, tiny closed tears to a handful of far outer margins as well, name stamp and 1927 gift notation on front free endpaper, no other markings.. Hardcover. ; Brown cloth cover with dry mounted color pictorial is worn, particularly at corners and spine caps, with modest soiling, and loss of the gilt title. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Illustrated end sheets and paste downs very good. Color frontispiece and illustrated title page with color illustrations and plates throughout. Pages have very modest soiling here and there but overall mostly clean and very good. .

The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and has some edgewear and a few chips and tears, the largest to the rear corners, about 2-3 percent paper loss overall.
