Thomas Bell (1702-1880) war Lektor für Zahnheilkunde am Londoner Guy's und St.Thomas-Hospital. Er stammte aus einer berühmten Ärztedynastie und seine wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten stellten ihn an die Spitze der englischen Autoren der ersten Hälfte des 18.Jahrhunderts. Die schönen Tafeln zeigen Abbildungen zur Anatomie des Mundes, sowie das zahnärztliche Instrumentarium. Einige Tafeln leicht wasserrandig, sonst schönes, fleckenfreies Exemplar. A notable addition to dental literature. Bell's useful and interesting work was compiled from a store of rich materials, the result principally of his own observations.
