In addition to a few library markings, there is scattered soil spotting throughout the text. There are a few pages with some water marks in the margins. There is a name label on the front end paper. There is foxing on the page edging. The cover has scuffing and some small spots on the back where there is some paper stuck to it. The cover also has corner tip wear. The spine has a minor lean and end wear. Published by Doubleday, Doran for the Crime Club. The title page states, Introducing Sir Richard Herrivell. 276 pages. .

The title page does not mention The Crime Club but it shows the logo. Jacket appears to be the American, with the code 707-36 on the front flap. The jacket has an internal tape repair at the top of the spine panel to deal with a closed tear, and another on the front flap fold. "Double murder - but why had the first victim bullets through both eyes?" A Sir Richard Herrivell mystery.
