Very Good/Acceptable. 9x5x0. 1947 Huddersfield and District Woollen Export Group (Huddersfield, England), 6 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches tall color cloth hardcover in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, white lettering to front cover, gilt lettering to spine, pink pictorial endpapers, copiously illustrated with marvelous black-and-white drawings by Harold Blackburn, color plates of and eighteenth century clothier's pattern book and a folding color map in a pocket at the center of the volume, 70 pp. Very slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with mild bumping to the lower tips. Creasing to one tip of the folded map and one small edge tear. Tall 8vo. 70pp. Handsome decorated cloth lettered in gold at the spine. With Freedman endpaper decorations, a photographic frontispiece, various drawings in the text, several colour reproductions from clothier's pattern books and a multi-panel fold-out colour map. A tiny speckling of spotting to the top edge, else in fine state with non-price-clipped dust wrapper replicating the splendid cloth design, with two short tears, a touch of edge-chafing and a small area of loss from the head of the spine panel. An interesting and fairly uncommon account of the Colne Valley textile industry, which is hard to find in anything like this state..

Illustrated dust jacket over illustrated cloth covered boards with gilt. Flat signed by author to inserted page with a date. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing.
