The set comprises Vol. I: 1872-1914 (third impression, 1967); Vol. II: 1914-1944 (second impression, 1968); Vol. III: 1944-1967 (first edition, 1969). Martin 682.01; 682.02; 682.03 respectively (recording the first editions).

First edition first impression three volume hardback set, Volume I published 1967, Volume II published 1968 and Volume III published 1969, all with price-clipped jacket. In overall very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - dusts jackets rubbed to edges with a couple of small nicks and chips to Volume III (now protected); boards clean and crisp. Bindings tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions - ownership name to front pastedown in volumes II and III; toning to page-ends but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Photographs available. Not an old library book.
