A much worn book with covers spine top/bottom & tips fraying; fingering; whole group of pages with 3/4 inch edge tear; etc. Not bad but no where near collector condition. No markings. The last few pages have creasing on them as does the bottom right corner of the first few. Nice reading copy. Near very good condition but not quite there. . VG-. Clean red cloth boards with 13 white geese on cover, white and black lettering on cover and spine, one white goose on spine (slight fading to spine). Slight surface wear to corners. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Nicely decorated endpapers are clean - no names, writing or bookplates. Closed tear to page 117 (2"). Small Christmas stamp from 1930 at upper corner of page 119. No other problems. 190 pages with nice illustrations throughout..

The book features color illustrations throughout, including some that are full-page. Illustrated end papers in color. Contents include Cinderella, Old Mother Hubbard, Little Miss Muffet - please see the photos for the complete list. At the back of the book is a separate section titled "Mother Goose Rhymes" that contains 43 classic rhymes such as Little-Bo-Peep, Pease Porridge Hot, Simple Simon, Jack Sprat, Humpty Dumpty, Little Boy Blue, Peter Piper, Jack and Jill, etc.Condition:The covers and spine each have some small, light stains; sharp corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. The pages are mostly clean with only an occasional small stain/smudge; 2 larger smudges at the bottom of page 172. Overall the book is in very good condition.
