Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Previous owner's name inside front cover. Book in FAIR condition Black Knight - that famous peke owned by Lady Munnings - has at last agreed to the publication of his diary … it will no doubt set a cat among the pigeons. Handsomely illustrated with a portrait in oils by Sir Alfred Munnings, reproduced in colour, and many of of Sir Alfred's sketches, it will be essential reading in polite society and a must for the mistresses of all gay dogs.

The dust jacket presents well in cellophane but is edge-worn with small tears on the corners and spine. There is also a strip of dark sellotape across the top of the spine. Internally there a some signs of foxing, particularly towards the start of the book. The author has signed and inscribed the book on the front end page.
