A very nice copy of this paperback reprint. Synopsis: "When her father decides that Anna Lavinia's horizon needs broadening, he tears down part of the garden wall to give her a new point of view. Harper & Brothers, 1956. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good Dust Jacket. This old book with dust jacket is clean, solid and in great shape! This is a smaller style hardcover book with 138 pages including many illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The copyright page shows 1956 as the published date. The price has been clipped from the DJ flap. The dust jacket is also in great shape with just a hint of edgewear (No Chips). I have placed the DJ in a fresh mylar jacket and this old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

This is one of only four books written and published by Palmer Brown. All four are scarce in any edition, and especially scarce in First Edition. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. There is some very beginning toning to the edges of the book covers. The front endpaper has been neatly excised by the previous owner - with a barely visible stub. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several small edge nicks and tears along with several small to smallish edge chips missing. The dust jacket includes the correct points for a first edition according to Baumgarten (Green cloth binding, Harper & Brothers imprint, dated 1956, with a dust jacket that includes a $2.50 price on the front flap).
