Very minor rubbing to the bottom of the boards, else in near fine condition. very good The Paget Press published screenplay, written by Bukowski, for a film directed and produced by Barbet Schroeder and starring Faye Dunaway and Mickey Rourke. This film was loosely based on Bukowski's adventures and exploits during the 60s, 70s and 80s in Hollywood. This edition preceded the Black Sparrow Press publication by a few years, perhaps because the rights were owned by the director, Barbet Schroeder. This work is an original screenplay which later became a movie produced and directed by Barbet Schroeder, starring Faye Dunaway and Mickey Rourke. A lovely near fine copy bound in black stiff paper wraps lettered and decorated in yellow, red and blue, colors repeated on spine, with only a tiny bit of rubbing to spine ends and a very small sticker ghost on verso of front wrap.

Signed Presentation Copy, numbered 3 / 7 on colophon and signed by Bukowski opposite. The colophon does not mention 7 numbered "Presentation Copies", rather it lists that "200 Deluxe Copies have been signed and numbered by the Author" and "20 special copies have been handbound and signed by Charles Bukowski"..
