Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Mild foxing. Moderate sunning to spine. Notable rubbing and marking all over.

Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Small white sticker to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Book is slightly forward leaning. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Scuffing and light marking overall.

A selection of Diary entries dated 1778 - 1839 and first published first published in seven volumes 1842-46. This Everyman's Library edition first published 1940; 1966 reprint thus. Hardcover in black cloth with gilt titling to the spine. Top edge dyed. Includes an Index. Square, firmly bound and with very little wear, this copy is very good or better. The dust jacket has a little more wear, particularly to the lower front where some of the pigment has been stripped off as if it stuck to something adhesive like tape, but it is otherwise well-preserved and very good.
