New York: Burroughs Wellcome & Co.. Near Fine. 1934. Hardcover. An unusual contribution to the literature of exploration. Red cloth covers with gilt lettering on the cover. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no internal or external markings. The front title lettering indicates that this was from the Chicago Century of Progress International Exposition, also known as the Chicago World's Fair. The publisher was a pharmaceutical company in London founded in 1880 and which merged with Glaxo in 1995. ; B&W Photographs; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 160 pages .

Hardbound maroon cloth boards with gold gilt lettering to front board. Back strip of spine and boards show no wear top or bottom but have spotting blemishes along the top and bottom, front and rear. Corners are sharp with slightest of wear. Silver raised star patterned endpapers. Spine is straight and firm, no cracking to the endpapers. Text block is solid with all pages firmly attached. Slight age tanning throughout. All interior pages are clean with no tears, cracks or other previous owner marks. Includes index.
