Endpapers toned and foxed, minor soiling throughout. Illustrated with an 1826 reproduction of the frontispiece for the 1638 edition. Plain paper over boards with linen tape spines, publisher's paper title labels pasted on at spines. Boards rubbed and soiled, edges worn to boards, corners bumped, boards partly detached fron textblocks. Spine cloth split at joints. Textblocks intact and stable.
