Illustrated frontispiece of Lord Byron is loose and laid inside 6 parts by Key 1795, Westall 1814, Harlowe 1817, Saunders 1807, Phillips 1814 and Throwaldsen 1816. no date, date is approximate. xiv+1071 pages. Spine is missing, front and back boards are very lose and are very worn. Page block is solid beginning with table of contents to the last page. Back hinge is cracked but still holding with color decorative marbleized end papers, front only single end paper remains. Page edges are color decorative marbleized similar to the end papers but somewhat faeded but still very beautiful. Pages are lightly tanned. LARGE VERY HEAVY ITEM. In plastic bag to keep it all together. . Leather Bound. Fair. No Exp.

In original brown cloth with gilt titling, 4to, 820pp. (Shelfwear, rubbing, darkening and dulling to cloth, tips and corners rubbed and bumped, browning to edges and pages from age, first couple of pages coming loose at inner hinge)

Pages have light tanning and medium foxing throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges. Paper worn away to both boards.

Published by Porter and Coates; undated; 715 pages with a few light pencil notations, small stains, tanning left from ribbon bookmark in gutter of pages 156 and 157; first few pages are worn and ripped around edges; binding is mostly tight but beginning to separate at gutter between pages 18 and 19; age discoloration and soiling on outer edges; no dust jacket; red cloth cover has sunning at top edge, lightly bumped corners, fading and stains on spine, and damp staining on back bottom edge

John Murray, 1840. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1840. No Edition Remarks. 827 pages. No dust jacket. Brown imitation leather. Front hinge is severely split, causing loose binding; all pages remain attached however. Page 602 is almost detached. Pages are lightly tanned, but text remains clear. Boards have heavy shelf-wear, with visible corner bumping and noticeable scuffing to edges. Spine is heavily scuffed with visible crushing and splitting to ends. Material to top end is peeling away. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, along with other visible marks.

D. Appleton and Company, 1867. Hardcover. Very good/None. Rebound likely in the early 20th century. Boards are solid, the spine is square, and the binding is firm. The pages are crisp with publisher's spray to the edges and many beautiful images and illustrations, however, there is heavy foxing and staining throughout the entire text, and a number in red ink on the front pastedown.

Interior poetry pages in good condition. 32 pages of publisher Geary & Getz ads for books at back of book. .

Firmly bound original gilt decorated full brown leather boards, rubbed and worn, hinges are weak, marbled end papers and closed page edges, internally good. Volume three only from set of five volumes. contents include; The Giour, The Bride of Abydos and The Corsair.
