Complete serials this year were Gunner Cade by Kornbluth and Merril (as by Cyril Judd), and The Currents of Space by Asimov. Other important stories were Dumb Waiter by Walter M. Miller (and several other Miller srories), Blood's a Rover by Oliver, Me and Flapjack and the Martians by Fredric Brown and Mack Reynolds. February has spine taping, cover creasing, writing on the back cover, and is fair-good only. All other volumes are at least VG to unread fine.. First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good+ to Near Fine. The only complete serial this year was the famous Iceworld by Clement (all 3 parts). Other important stories were Berom by John Berryman, ...and Then There Were None by Russell, Dune Roller by May (her FIRST story), The Weapon by Fredric Brown. There was also a Dianetics (Scientology) article, Dianometry, by Hubbard. January is fine unread. February has tiny chips to spine extremities and is VG+ to near fine. March has a little spine wear and is VG+ to near fine. April is fine unread. May has faint cover creases, wear to spine bottom, and is VG to VG+. June has cover creases and is VG. July has wear to spine extremities and is VG+ to near fine. August has cover creases and is VG. September has cover creases, small split to spine bottom, pen on back cover, and is VG to VG+. What a year!: Contains (from April to July) the classic four part first appearance of Hal Clement's Mission of Gravity. First appearance of Dick's Imposter and Asimov's Belief. This 12 issue annual set also includes a nice copy of the much coveted October 1953 issue featuring the Kelly Freas art that was used for the band Queen and their News of the World record album. Also, the November issue has the first appearance of James Blish's novelette: Earthman, Come Home (part of Cities in Flight). Finally, three issues are signed by Robert Sheckley: "Fool's Mate" pg. 99 (March); "Operating Instructions" pg. 75 (May); "Potential" pg. 73 (November).
