A Sound copy in Contemporary quarter maroon calf with gilt titling, (edges lightly rubbed) with green cloth covered boards ( somewhat rubbed, bumped, marked and scuffed - otherwise Good). Internally the book needs new endpapers as the front lacks all before the Title page and the rear lacks the rear free endpaper which has been torn away. Some grubby marks throughout with some 'side-lining' markings to the text here and there. The top corner blank margin on the 'Contents' page has also been torn off. (xii) + (1 'Stud Farm' Plan ) + 244pp. Possibly lacks a Frontispiece? (the original 1851 edition had one) but as this is a Thoroughly REVISED Edition 1873 it may never have had one? - as with many antique books there is no 'plate' list in this book ) - but the full page Litho of the 'Plan for the buildings of a Stud Farm' is… Leer más
