New York: Trade Publishing Company Can find the year. This looks to be a turn-of-the-century edition in gold cloth over boards with bumped corners. The book is called Christmas stories by Charles Dickens and is published by the trade publishing company New York. The front cover page opposite a terrific black-and-white style illustration is loose and only half snowed on to the binding. The binding has dried and come away from the covers. There is some discoloration at the page edge. In general you have a tough little nice book here with a clean text.. Hardcover. Good.

Presentation inscription on front paste down is 1919, but there is no date on title page, which is detached from the rest of the text block. The copyright page is missing. The sewn binding is rim , but front board, much abraded at crown is almost detached. Despite being faderd and scuffed, the front baord has beautiful floral design with embossed lettering.

Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Binding is slightly loose. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Visible wear marks to boards.
