P. F. Collier. Hardcover. Good. [nd], ca 1890. Eight volume set, complete. Brown cloth with gilt titles and decoration, with rubbing, shelf-wear, age-soil, and the gilt at spine faded/obscured. Slight wear to inner hinges, where threads have poked through endsheets, but the exposed threads are sound tight with the bindings intact. Pages toned, texts unmarked.

Bound in 3/4 plum calf over green cloth, spines decorated in gilt, top edges gilt, patterned endpapers (spines faded to brown with light rubbing, one volume has a small partial gouge to spine). All Shakespeare's Tragedies, Comedies and Histories abundantly illustrated in 8 volumes with woodcut engravings. 4to, 10 by 7.25 inches, or 24 by 17 cm. Bound in half-leather with marbled paper-covered boards, marbled endpapers, a marbled-edged text block, and with raised bands and gilt lettering to the spine. A fair amount of external wear with rubbing to the corners, surfaces and edges of the boards and spines. Bindings are all tight, and generally interiors are clean, with light age toning.
