While the text was first published in the SATURDAY REVIEW in 1964, this is the first book form and with the Gorey collaboration. The Gorey dragon dozing on a pillow (featured in the text and on the front board) is sufficient charm alone for this lovely little book. 5.25'' x 6.25''. Original yellow pictorial cloth, spine lettered in black, dragon image stamped in black and green to front board. In original unclipped ($2.95 price) color pictorial dust jacket. Illustrated on every page by Edward Gorey in black and white. [48] pages. Publisher's review slip laid in. Jacket with light soil along margins and joints.
