Seven plates in full-colour; seventy-four monochrome plates. Clifford Craig traces the major prints in local and overseas media showing Tasmanian sites and people, starting with sixteenth-century navigators' journals through to the 1870s - a scholarly, well-informed process of indentification; with outstanding Introduction and Appendices. This work is a companion volume to the author's 'The Engravers of Van Diemen's Land', published in 1961.
