Corner cut from front end-paper but otherwise a good copy internally. 247 pages. First published in 1782 the book takes the form of a series of letters sent to a friend while the author was undertaking a journey up the east coast of Scotland in 1780. A good reading or rebinding copy.

The book is bound in rubbed full calf, the binding is rubbed and has repairs including a tape reinforcement between gathers. The title page has an owner's inscription. There is a touch of light foxing in a few pl aces, the text is otherwise clean and crisp.
