Light thumb marking, foxing and moderate tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Light cracking and staining to gutters and hinges but binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with moderate tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with noticeable fraying and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Superb doggy illustrations - colour frontis plate and many, many b/w text illustrations. Boards browned and unevenly faded. Small imperfection to cloth just above the vignette to front board. Front hinge pulled. A few grubby marks to contents.
