The previous owner's name C. E. Salmon Xmas 1897 is inked to the front free pastedown along with a few ticks to the margin of the corrections page. C. E.Salmon was the author of the first edition of Flora of Surrey. There is also a letter included regarding the finding of Herminium Monorchis, Musk Orchid by A. B. Jackson. (Jackson was responsible for the revison to Wayside and Woodland Blossoms..
