The boards have wear about all edges, corners and seams from handling, shelving and storage. They are scuffed, marked by use and storage, worn. However, they are also steady and comfortable. Within, the contents are bearing their years with dignity. There is evidence of use and age throughout. The paper trims are smeared and flecked with foxing. The contents have flushes, blots, spots of foxing and age-related marks throughout. Nonetheless, the contents are comfortable, clear, convivial, certain, amiable, companionable, cheerful.
