In bright red cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards, a little more rubbed to the front board of the History of Manon Lescaut and The Love Episode. Rubbed at the spines causing a discolouration of cloth and gilt lettering, although gilt remains bright on Madame Bovary.
