Fold-out plates to end of book. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Minor pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends with moderate splits. Dark rubbing and foxing to surfaces. Mild tanning to spine and edges.

Beautiful gilt sun with rays on front cover (corners are a little "scorched" (that's a joke).; 7 x 8 3/4

Full parchment binding with gold imprinted seal of the Sun Fire Office on front cover. Maps feature "Plan of Broad Street and Cornhill Wards, 1755," "Map of London Showing Area of the Great Fire, 1666," "Map of London, Westminster and Southwark, 1600," and "Map of London and Westminster in 1707." Corners bumped. Light wear along edges and to head and tail of spine. Minor fading to cover edges and light general scuffing. Some glue residue to rear of book. Overall, in good condition.
