Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Pencil inscription to front pastedown. Thumb-marking present. Heavy creasing to gutter. Cracking to hinges and gutters, leaving netting exposed. Front board is loose but still attached. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Light bumping to corners. Soft crushing to spine ends. Minor tanning to spine and edges. Black marks to rear board. Dents to edges. Textblock is shaky. Book has a visible forward lean.

Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; slight toning to page-ends (wartime economy paper) but text, maps to endpapers and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Photographs available.
