Possible later issue; includes the texts of the first and the fifth editions of FitzGerald's reworkings of Omar Khayyam, as well as his translation of Jami's poem, with supplemental material (biographical preface signed 'M. Hardcover Very Good+ to Near Fine: The Book shows just a tick of wear to the top edge of the rear panel; a former owner's name inscribed at the upper front free endpaper; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. A handsome, nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a couple of imperfections. Bright and Clean. Corners sharp. Very close to 'As New'. The Green, heavy cardstock box with titles at designs at the front panel remains attractive and intact, but the corners have been reinforced with clear cellophane tape and the bottom (unprinted) portion of the box is the same green, but does not fit the upper part exactly and is probably a later replacement and the original must have been damaged or otherwise lost.
