London: The Medici Society, 1925. First edition (hardback), limited to 650 copies, of which this is copy number 556. 4to (31cm by 25cm), xii, 201pp. 62pp plates in colour and half-tone. Original blue cloth, gilt titling to the spine. There is some staining of the rear board, some foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the text block, and several of the tissue protectors are creased. Overall, this copy is in good condition.

Contains 62 plates, 47 are in color all with multiple images. One of 650 numbered copies signed by the author. Only 150 copies were sold, the rest were pulped. Plates illustrate scent bottles, bonbonniers, etuis, seals, and statuettes made at the Chelsea Factory & Derby Chelsea in the 18th century. Leaf size: 12 x 9 1/2 inches. Interior is clean and page block is tight.

The books is limited to 650 copies and this is Number 358, signed by the author. Heavily illustrated in color. The volume is tight, bright and clean except for the small neat book plate of Anne Edgerly Thayer. The dust jacket is mostly Very Good with a few chips around the edges. The book is heavy and might need additional postage.. Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
