Thick octavo, pp xii, (6), 488, (8), pages rather waved or wrinkled but sound, some staining throughout, mainly light, illustrated with 21 plates, many charming woodcuts within the text, some pages slightly protruding at the fore-edge but no signs of looseness, contemporary panelled calf, neatly restored at the corners, rebacked with a slightly rustic spine, raised bands, new endpapers. Octavo, original calf with a 20th century rebacking, xii, [6], 488, [8] pages, 20 unnumbered leaves of plates showing garden designs, illustrations of tools and plants. Page 141 is misnumbered 129, and succeeding pages follow the sequence. About Very Good; some shelf wear, page 123 and the following 13 leaves have been wormed alnog the fore-edge margin, not affecting the text.
