Severe splitting to front joint, but everything remains attached. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is firm. Cracking to rear hinge. Ex-libris sticker to front pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Faint markings overall.

GOOD / NO DUST JACKET. xx, 248 pp. Text clean and unmarked except for previous owners' names and dates at free front endpaper and obverse. Page edges decorated and gilded. Brown ribbon marker. Title page printed in red and black. Brown leather boards with gilt decoration at inner edges, blindstamped decoration at front, back and spine, lettered in gilt at spine. Boards rubbed at all edges and corners. Front hinge cracked, but holding, binding overall good, textblock firm.

GB: Bickers and Son, 1873. Fairly clean tight text is pulling from rather worn covers. Very worn spine title label. This is just a good reading copy. . Hardback. Good.

Edges a little marked and worn, with dent on rear leading. Leading corners bent and worn; spine ends slightly bumped. Split on rear spine side, cosmetic effect only. Page block rough cut and sunned, with library stamps on head, face and foot. Pastedowns, endpapers, abstract pages and very few pages in main body are lightly foxed/tanned. Library stamp and penned gift dedication (dated 1919) on FEP. Pages are sound throughout, and all text is clear. TS. hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. Ex-Library.
