Condition very good plus, very slight rub to corners, a few faint spots to paste-downs and end-papers, half-title and also the last page of "Yes and No" and the title where "For Whom the Bell Chimes" starts, the rest of the pages are clean. Number 662 of a Limited Edition of 750 copies, signed by Graham Greene.

Signed by Graham Greene to the limitation page. Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. “Yes and No” has only one act and two character, one of whom is virtually monosyllabic. It seems to be written by Greene to illustrate his disdain for the directors of his staged plays, many of whom he pillaged. “For Whom the Bell Chimes” (a little “play” on Hemingway’s opus? ) is a 3-act play, a farce, comparable to the more recent “Noises Off, ” with actors running in and out of the scene, much hilarity because of disguises and mistaken identities.
