First edition, in book form, of this Odyssey of adventure stories, which had previously appeared from the “Mutiny on the Bounty” trilogy co-author in Atlantic Monthly, Harper’s Magazine, and Travel. Hall (1887-1951) includes accounts of his native Iowa village, time in a World War I prison camp while flying with the Lafayette Escadrille, and later visits to Papeete, Tahiti, and Iceland. Scarce in original dustjacket.

Price of $3.00 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Born and raised in Iowa, the author was a World War I veteran who traveled the world after his service. Norman Hall was the co-author of Mutiny on the Bounty. Here, he writes of his experiences in Iceland and the south Pacific, eventually choosing to settle in Tahiti. The American first edition with its jacket is uncommon in commerce, and scarce in collectible condition. A very near Fine book in a dust jacket with the reverse neatly reinforced, paper colored red-orange to supplement minor jacket loss, else a Very Good jacket.
