This is a lovely selection of lyrics for old British music.

London: George Routledge, 1879. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Edition and printing not known. In fairly good red/brown cloth boards, black publisher's logo and titles to front; gilt titles to spine. The boards are quite clean, with collapsed hollow and loose from page block; spine ends and corners bumped and frayed. The end papers are tan coloured and have titles from publisher's library and are clean; the rear end papers. Very tanned cut edges. The text block is in good condition, firm and straight till page 360 where thers is split down centre and remainder of pages are very loose. Half title page and page to rear with more from Routledge catalogue is tanned; the rest of pages are unmarked. Print of name of previous owner title page. With b/w illustrations. Without jacket.

G. P. Putnam's Sons; The Knickerbocker Press, n.d.. Hard cover. Very good/No jacket. Full leather binding. No publication date listed. Cover is worn along edges. Binding is tight. Pages are lightly tanned, but otherwise clean and unmarked.

More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild fraying, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with noticeable splitting, fraying and crushing to joints and ends. Book has a slight forward lean.Lettering remains bright and clear.
