It is the culmination of more than 10 years of research and analysis on the Standish family of Ireland, Ontario and Alberta. It is not a family history in the traditional sense, although it contains a painstakingly constructed genealogy of a family whose origins may well date to pre-Cromwellian England, and certainly to the Cromwellian settlements of Ireland.
