The boards are quite rubbed and edge worn, with a small tear at the bottom of the spine, but they remain bright and sturdy. Internally, there is a cancelled Oppenheimer family bookplate on the verso of the front end page. There is a small, closed tear on the half title page. A comfortable copy. Half-leather. Gilt papertrims. The boards have stamped gilt decoration, borders and titling. The leathered corners are much worn, scuffed. The spine has wear to the head and foot and along the seams. However, the corners and spine are benign and sure. The contents are pleasing. The guttering along the half-title page is cracked. The security of the book is unaffected. The contents have just a very few handling marks. In general and by far, the contents are fresh, clean, clear, benevolent, keen, assured. fk. With "Autograph Copy" written on the front endpaper and bearing the personal bookplate of Genevieve Jackson Beckwith, the first Regent of the Tisbury Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Maine. Also with a 1953 performance schedule on Native Inter-Tribal Dances tipped to the verso of the front endpaper- at the bottom stating "The Public Is Requested Not To Throw Money At The Dancers."
