First edition, second printing (stated( with no additional printings listed on the copyright page. First issue dust jacket, which features a blurb by Walker Percy on the back panel. Elegantly signed on the title page by novelist Walker Percy, who wrote the foreword for Toole's novel. Percy was instrumental in getting the book published, some ten years after Toole's death. Book is in fine condition -- square, tight, and unmarked. Very minor bumping to the head of the spine, with no other defects to the dust jacket. No staining to the book or the jacket. No writing, no marginal notes, no underlining, and no highlighting of the text block. (Dust jacket has not been price-clipped, and includes the original $12.95 price.) Ships from NC.
